From the Road to the Workshop
I’m Tyler, the founder of Blue Heron. This all started when I built a campervan for myself and my dog, Harley. The plan was to travel across the U.S., which we did, but what surprised me was how much I loved the building process just as much as being on the road.
I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands. Over the years, I’ve restored pop-up trailers, renovated homes, and created a few unique Airbnb spaces. Building that first van brought all of those skills together, and it didn’t take long before I realized this was something I wanted to do full-time.

Why the Name “Blue Heron”?
The blue heron is a quiet, independent traveler—patient, grounded, and always near the water. It felt like the right symbol for the kind of life this company supports: one that’s intentional, curious, and open to wherever the road leads.
